Please ensure before the conversion that

  • The source data base (Diag custo diagnostics 4) and the target data base (Diag custo diagnostics 5) are reachable and writable.
    (During the conversion all GUIDS of the corresponding newly created elements in Diag the version 5 DB are recorded in the old Diag version 4 DB)
  • The source CST  directory is reachable and readable. 
  • The tenant functionality is disabled in target system
  • The destination DB (Diag custo diagnostics 5) is empty
  • All unassigned evaluations are assigned
  • All tasks in the task manager are processed (no conversion of tasks takes place)

Warning

In case the version 5 target DB is not empty or older than 90 days, a pop-up message will warn about the consequences (possible data loss in the Diag custo diagnostics 5 system due to overwriting during the conversion).

Description

Are the source and destination DBs reachable and writable?

(tick)If either the source or the destination DB are unreachable the conversion process is aborted,
Is the table scheme of the source DB correct?(tick)In case of a lack of integrity in source DB (missing columns) the conversion is aborted. Please note that the source DB must be in the starte for version 4.5.x to have all tables correct.
Is the target system configured as tenant system?(tick)In case a tenant configuration exists in the target system
Is the custocfg.ini in an integer state?(tick)In case of integrity issues of the custocfg.ini, the conversion is aborted because it cannot be read automatically which system should be converted. 
Are the at least 100 GB of free space on the CST target path?(error)In case of less than 100 GB of free disk space a warning message appears, however the conversion is still possible.
Is the target data base a H2 data base?(error)If  the target is a H2 DB a warning appears as the warning , as the conversion fo for H2 DBs may easily cause errors and as there is no possibility to work with multible multiple threads.
Is the target system old than 90 days?(error)

In case the target system is older than 90 days there is a risk that the conversion may cause the loss of already existing configurations. A warning message appears, but the conversion is still possible.

Are there any evaluations in the target system?(error)

In case there are evaluations in the target system, there is the risk that the conversion may overwrite already existing evaluations. A warning message is displayed, but the conversion can be continued.

Was wird nicht konvertiert?

Grundsätzlich wird alles so gut wie möglich konvertiert. Folgende Features sind aber (noch) nicht in der Konvertierung enthalten:


Which content will not be converted?

In general everything is converted as well as possible. The folllowing features are however not (yet) processed by the conversion:

  • The user "Supervisor"
  • All data of the custo Kybe
  • Open tasks in the task manager
  • The table "events" (a log table), respecively also all other log tables
  • The table
  • Der Benutzer "Supervisor"
  • Alle Kybedaten
  • Laufende Aufträge der Auftragsverarbeitung
  • Die Tabelle "Ereignisse" (eine Logtabelle), bzw. auch alle anderen Logtabellen
  • Die Tabelle "Cfg_Update" (also alle Datenbank-Updatesas well as all data base updates)
  • Die Tabelle table "Systemdatensystem data" (passt nichtis not applicable)
  • Die Tabelle table "PraxisdatenPractice data" (wird jetzt über now handled via "Doctor" abgewickelt)
  • Satellitensystem-Synchronisationsdaten (Satellitensystem gibt es nicht mehr)
  • Die Import-Liste
  • Die Rekorder-Patientenstatistik
  • Die Auswertungs-Gruppen
  • Die EvalOrderInfo-Tabelle

Konvertierung von archivierten und verschobenen Auswertungen

Alle archivierten Auswertungen werden 1:1 konvertiert und können im diag 5 System danach weiterhin als archivierte Auswertung geöffnet werden.

Alle verschobenen Auswertungen aus diag 4 werden durch die Konvertierung ebenfalls zu archivierten Auswertungen. In diag-5 gibt es das Flag "verschoben" nicht mehr. Verschobene und archivierte Auswertung werden somit in diag 5 gleich behandelt

Conversion of archived and moved evaluations

All archived evaluations are converted 1:1 and can be opened in custo diagnostics 5 System afterwards still as archived evaluations.

All moved evaluations from the version 4 will become also archived evaluations. In version 5 the flag "moved" does not exist any more. Moved and archived evaluations are hence treated equally in version 5.

The settings where moved evaluations are stored are user specific. Hence moved evaluations can be only opened by the user who moved them (same behavior has in version 4).

Exception: The setting is transmitted to all users.


The settings where the archives are stored are workstation specific. Hence (like as well in version 4) archived evaluations can be only opened on the workstation where they were archived..

Trend files

For archived and moved evaluations trend files cannot be created, because in most cases it is not possible physically access thoise files. In CSC it is possible, that you get that error message recreation the trend files:

In case the conversion should be aborted und restarted, no entries will be recorded twice!

Configuration of the conversion

Die Einstellungen wo verschobenen Auswertungen liegen sind Benutzerspezifisch. Somit können (und konnten auch in diag 4) verschobene Auswertungen nur von dem Benutzer geöffnet werden, der sie verschoben hat.

Ausnahme: Diese Einstellung wurde an alle Benutzer übertragen.

Die Einstellungen wo die Archive liegen sind Workstationspezifisch. Somit können (und konnten auch in diag 4) archivierte Auswertungen nur von der Workstation geöffnet werden, auf der archiviert wurde.

Trenddateien

Für archivierte und verschobene Auswertungen können keine Trenddateien aufgebaut werden, da auf diese Dateien meist nicht physikalisch zugegriffen werden kann. Im CSC ist es möglich, dass man dann diese Fehlermeldung beim Neuaufbau der Trenddateien erhält:

conversion

In case of the full conversion everything configured in the time range (3) gets converted.

If you configure the last 2 years, only patients and evaluations of the last 2 years will be converted. Data beyond that will not be available in target system after the conversion.

Advantage:

(tick) After completion of the full conversion with the time range "All" the custo diagnostics 4 system can be turned off.

Nachteile:

(error) The conversion takes very long, as all CST files must be copied.
(error) After a full conversion with the time range limit not all patients and evaluations are in the target system (may even be desired)

Smart conversion

The smart converson always converts always the whole DB, but copies only CST-files, which are in the scope configured in (3). All other evaluations are marked internally as "smartConverted" and are only copied, if the relevant evaluation is opened up.

In case the user tries to open a smartConverted" evaluation where the relevant files cannot be found, a message dialog appears in which the user should select the directory of the relevant CST file. On top the option "Delete version

Bei der Full-Konvertierung wird alles im unter (3) eingestellten Zeitraum konvertiert.

Stellt man zum Beispiel 2 Jahre ein, werden nur die Patienten und Auswertungen der letzten 2 Jahre konvertiert, alles andere ist im Ziel-System nach der Konvertierung nicht vorhanden

Vorteile:

(tick) Nach Abschluss einer Full-Konvertierung mit Zeitraum "Alle" kann das diag 4 System abgeschaltet werden

Nachteile:

(error) Die Konvertierung dauert sehr lange, da alle CST-Dateien umkopiert werden müssen
(error) Bei einer Full-Konvertierung mit Zeitbegrenzung hat man nicht mehr alle Patienten und Auswertungen im Zielsystem (kann aber auch gewünscht sein)

Smart-Konvertierung

Bei der Smart-Konvertierung wird immer die komplette Datenbank konvertiert, aber nur die CST-Dateien umkopiert, die im unter (3) eingestellten Zeitraum liegen. Alle anderen Auswertungen werden intern als "smartConverted" markiert und erst nachträglich eingelagert, wenn die Auswertung tatsächlich geöffnet wird.

Wird beim Öffnen der "smartConverted" Auswertung die Datei nicht gefunden, erscheint ein Hinweisdialog in dem man das Verzeichnis auswählen muss in dem die betroffenen CST-Datei liegt. Zusätzlich kann man auch noch die Option "Delete diag 4 CST-File after smart converted..." aktivieren, das führt dazu, dass nachdem die Auswertung in diag 5 eingelagert wurde die CST-Datei aus dem diag 4 Datenverzeichnis gelöscht wird.

Vorteile:

Nachteile:

(error) Der diag 4 Datenshare darf nicht abgeschaltet werden, sonst hat man keinen Zugriff auf die alten Auswertungen
(error) Trends können unter Umständen nicht vollständig aufgebaut werden
(error) Alle diag 5 clients benötigen Zugriff auf den Datenshare von diag 4

Konvertierung von Trends

Unter (4) kann man die Konvertierung der Trends aktivieren.

 The version 4 share must not be turned off as there is otherwise no more accessability given to the old evaluations
(error) Trends trends may not be rebuilt completely
(error) All version 5 clients require aceess to the share of the version 4 system

Conversion of trends

With (4) the conversion of trends can be activated.

Note

If this options gets acticated, all evaluation files will be opened by the server and the trends will be recreated, which can take long time..

We do not recommend to do during the conversion.

Trends may afterwards be created for every project in the administraton section.

Note

Wird diese Option aktiviert, werden alle Auswertungsdateien vom Server geöffnet und der Trend neu aufgebaut, dies kann sehr lange dauern.

Wir raten davon ab, dies während der Konvertierung zu tun.

Die Trends können nachträglich unter Adminstration → Database für jedes Projekt einzeln erstellt werden


Workflow

Konvertierung in ein System ohne Mandantensystem

  • Einstellung dann genau so wie beider Konvertierung ohne Mandanten machen und starten
  • Bei den Conversion Settings zu jeder Datenbank kann dann jeweils ein vorher angelegter Mandant ausgewählt werden:
  • Wenn "Convert and keep tenant settings" ausgewählt ist, so werden die Mandanten der Patientenstammdatenbank einfach mit konvertiert und alles ist so wie früher
  • Nach der Konvertierung nur "Patienten mandantenbasiert" anmachen. Damit funktioniert das Mandantensystem so wie in der 4.x

     
  • Jetzt auch noch die Benutzer dem richtigen Mandanten zuordnen.
