Introduction

This article describes how you can move an existing MariaDB custo diagnostic database to another DB host computer.

Moveing the Database

To move an existing database you can use the "Database Converter" as descibed in this article.


Simple Way

You can also move the custo diagnostic Database with uninstall and reinstall the custo diagnostic server. This works if you stay on the same Computer Architecture (like Windows → Windows) and if the custo diagnostic server Computer hosts also the custo diagnostic Database.

  1. Uninstall custo diagnostic server - the local Database will be not deleted

  2. Move the "diagserverdata" Folder to another Computer

  3. Install custo diagnostic server on the new Computer.
    Please take care about these:
    - the previous and the to be installed Version of custo diagnostic server MUST be the same
    - during the Setup you have to select the new "diagserverdata" Folder to overtake the moved Database
