Precise recording of the pressure oscillations is crucial for oscillometric blood pressure measurement. The tube-in-tube technology uses a double-tube system in which an inner tube transmits the oscillations directly from the centre of the cuff, while inflation and deflation take place via the outer tube.
This minimises interference and achieves greater measuring accuracy than with single tube systems.
